Four Cats of the Laser Swords
Long ago there lived four cats. They weren't ordinary cats. These cats could legally obtain laser swords. They lived in the locally beloved Mr. Wilbur's house. Their names were Lazlo the Ninja Cat, Oscar the Destroyer, Finko el Bandito and Rafik the Assassin. These cats had mastered the art of the laser sword and were commonly feared throughout the neighborhood. They constantly sharpened their skills in training to enter The Couch Temple. They trained by battling each other, as they were not the best of friends and constantly argued.
The foursome trained to enter the temple because it was the place that their fathers had disappeared into. After years of preparation the time had finally come for them to try to conquer the temple. They packed their laser swords and various supplies for they knew it would be a difficult journey. Lazlo went first and slithered between the couch cushions only to abruptly fall into a large bush. The others quickly followed. When they came to their senses and saw their surroundings they were completely awestruck.
As the cats looked around they saw a rickety bridge above a dark abyss with waterfalls pouring into it. They bravely ventured forth to meet their fate. After painstakingly crossing the bridge they reached a large, stone platform, where a large stone Gollum confronted them. Using their laser swords and sharp skills they quickly defeated the monster. The Gollum's remains turned to dust and formed into a key on the ground before them. Finko picked up the key, examining it closely. A sudden earthquake made five stone columns rise from the abyss. The columns led to a nearby platform.
The cats quickly jumped to the platform and found a small keyhole. They placed the key into the slot and a door opened in the wall revealing a pedestal upon which sat the Golden Catnip, the item of which the legends spoke. Rafik rushed forward, grabbed the catnip and pulled his laser sword, ready to defend himself. Oscar, Lazlo and Finko quickly caught on and pulled out their swords, ready to fight.
The cats charged on each other in a fierce rage, crashing into the walls as they fought. Oscar slammed into a weakened wall, causing it to fall and reveal four skeletons. The battling cats calmed down as they realized they were looking at the remains of their fathers.
The father cats had been entombed in a chamber years before as they had fought over the treasure. Before they died they realized their sons would one day come after them so they wrote a small message on a piece of paper saying, "Don't let the treasures of the temple tear you apart as it did us." The four young cats, realizing that their greed would only tear them apart, decided to leave the treasure and seal the temple entrance so that no-one else would ever befall the horrible fate of greed.
