4:15 – 6:00 SESSIONS:

Attendees chose TWO of these three exciting K-12 sessions:

1)  21st Century Scrapbooking for Literacy Learning with Shannon Ayrish

(K-12 Enhancing Reading and Writing with Technology)  This session will help teachers discover the power of scrapbook for literacy learning.  Have your students scrapblogging tomorrow and you won't be able to stop them from writing.

2)  The "Dream Flag Project" with Noreen Beattie, Bonnie Clawson, and Sharon Hinsley

      (K-12 Poetry and Art)  Learn how to inspire students to read and write More thoughtfully using the works of Langston Hughes and others.  Check out this exciting project:  http://www.dreamflags.org.

3)  Writing with Purpose: Engaging Students in the Writing Process with Author Susan Koehler    (K-12 Writing) Oh, what students can create! Writing can and should be a personal investment students are willing to make. Learn strategies and gather ideas to make writing at all levels — K to 12 — an area of high-motivation, productivity, and non-stop creativity.
