My Brother Clee
Hi, I’m Emme, and my brother Clee has autism. Clee can’t talk, so instead, he uses some sign language. Sometimes it is hard for him to sign, so he uses a book with pictures. He will put them together and make a sentence.
Some of the things Clee likes to do is play on the swings! Every time we go to the park, he will zoom right to the swing.
Another thing Clee likes to do is jump on the bed! He will jump and jump, until he gets tired. Man, I tell you, that Clee has a lot of energy.
One more thing that I will tell you is that Clee loves water. Every day he plays in the bathroom sink. One time, he over filled the sink and water was everywhere after that.
Clee’s favorite sauce is ketchup. At the restaurant, he will eat ketchup. At home, we try to hide the ketchup, but he will always find it.
His favorite fruit are apples. He will get an apple out of the fridge, eat the skin, and get another one, like a cycle.
Something Clee will want you to do is tickle him. He will take your hand against his belly, and that means “tickle me.”
Another thing he will do is eat erasers. It’s kinda weird, but he does. Every time I come home with a new pencil, he will “rip,” eat the eraser.
Clee will also wake up until midnight, and then stay up all day long. Sometimes I wake up from him playing with his toys, but I don’t get frustrated because he is what he is.
Clee will do lots of things that normal people don’t because, well, he has autism and no one can change that.
