10th Annual Narrative Writing Contest

The Deadline is April 25, 2012.

New rubrics, rules, and permission forms will be posted here on February 1st.

With an eye toward 2011-2012, I am happy to follow such great men and women and to serve and support literacy development in our community.  Two of our projects this upcoming year will include special focus on:

• Increasing communication and collaboration among all literacy caretakers of our Leon County population. 
•  Increasing support for and participation of secondary students and teachers.

We have many wonderful activities planned for 2011-2012 including our  Fall Membership Party, Narrative Writing Contest, Poetry Jam, and  Fall and/or Spring workshops.   Your support is a key to our mission.

We are currently in need of volunteers to join committees and our new secondary literacy interest group.  Please contact me at kirbym@leonschools.net if you would like to take an active role in our Council this coming year.  It is through our synergy that we grow and learn.
